AHG NATIONAL PEN PAL PROGRAM - REGISTRATION CLOSED
Registration for the Pen Pal Program is now closed. We had several girls sign up for this exciting program! If your daughter signed up for the Pen Pal Program, be on the lookout for an email from AHG National with your daughter(s)' Pen Pal's information. You should receive that sometime in December. Correspondence will begin in January 2014. Patches and Pen Pal information for each girl will be delivered to Troop Coordinators. If you missed the deadline to sign up, but your daughter still really wants to, you can still go to http://www.ahgonline.org/penpal and register. She will be added to a waiting list and if an availabilty to pair her with a Pen Pal comes up, you will be contacted. Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that she will be placed. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know or feel free to contact AHG directly at email@example.com
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED - WE'RE ALMOST THERE!
AHG Needs Your Help! Our troop has been blessed with an abundance of girls who are excited to be a part of AHG this year! We are excited to see how the Lord continues to provide for our needs in the form of willing volunteers. We have been able to fill several empty slots, but we are still in need of volunteers in the following areas: Co-Leaders for our Tenderhearts and Pioneers units. We ask that you prayerfully consider the possibility of working with us and being a part of this wonderful ministry! Troop Meetings are twice a month for an hour and a half, with special events sprinkled throughout the year. Being a Co-leader takes a little time out of your schedule, but the rewards are worth the time you invest in this beautiful group of girls! If you’d like more information, contact us at (361) 985-9960 ext. 108. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
CONNECT WITH US ON FACEBOOK!
Did you know that our troop has a Facebook group page? Our Facebook group is a private group available to our troop families only. It was created to encourage communication and connection between our troop families and to provide a safe place to share pictures, announcements, and enjoy conversation. Our Facebook group does have rules and is maintained by members of the Troop Board. Only families of registered AHG members will be allowed to join. Just do a search for "AHG Troop 356", or click on the Facebook link at the top of this page, and request to join! See you on Facebook! (Special Note: Joining the AHG Troop 356 Facebook group will NOT cause you to be added to any other group member's "friend" list without a "Friend Request" being initiated by either party. Your Facebook account will remain as private as your settings allow.)
JUST FOR GIRLS
Our website has a new addition! We now have a "Just For Girls" page full of information and special sections just for the girls. The page is currently under construction, but the beginnings of it can be found by clicking on the "Just For Girls" tab above. "The Shepherd's Corner" and the AHG Creed Guessing Game can now be found on that page, and the music link has now been activiated! We also plan to include book recommendations, an art gallery, tips on friendship, beauty, and health, and information on upcoming events and badges. We hope that you'll encourage the girls to check it out every now and again to help them stay plugged in to what's going on and what's coming up next. We'll keep you updated on the progress of this page.
