See you there!

Troop 356 would like to welcome Michele Mayo and Stephanie Guillory to our Troop Board!  Michele has volunteered to fill our Registrar position.  She has 1 daughter who will be participating in AHG and is a Pre-K School Teacher at YCA.  Michele will be handling the registration of girls and leaders and will be the smiling face you see when you check your daughters in at Troop Meetings.  Stepahnie has volunteered to fill our Events Coordinator position.  She also has a daughter who will be participating in AHG this year.  Stephanie will be working hard this year to plan fun events for the girls and families.  If you see Michele or Stephanie at a meeting, hug their necks and give them a big THANK YOU for stepping up to fill these important roles in our troop!

AHG Needs Your Help!  Our troop has been blessed with an abundance of girls who are excited to be a part of AHG this year!  We are excited to see how the Lord continues to provide for our needs in the form of willing volunteers.  We have been able to fill several empty slots, but we are still in need of volunteers in the following areas: Assistant Leader for our Explorers (4th & 6th grade) unit, and a Childcare Volunteer who would be willing to care for the younger children of our Leaders and Board Members so that they can work with the girls without distraction.  We ask that you prayerfully consider the possibility of working with us and being a part of this wonderful ministry!  Troop Meetings are twice a month for an hour and a half, with special events sprinkled throughout the year.  Being an Leader/Assistant Leader takes a little time out of your schedule, but the rewards are worth the time you invest in this beautiful group of girls! If you’d like more information, contact us at (361) 985-9960 ext. 108.  You can also email us at Thank you!

Did you know that our troop has a Facebook group page?  Our Facebook group is a private group available to our troop families only.  It was created to encourage communication and connection between our troop families and to provide a safe place to share pictures, announcements, and enjoy conversation.  Our Facebook group does have rules and is maintained by members of the Troop Board.  Only families of registered AHG members will be allowed to join.  Just do a search for "AHG Troop 356", or click on the Facebook link at the top of this page, and request to join!  See you on Facebook! (Special Note:  Joining the AHG Troop 356 Facebook group will NOT cause you to be added to any other group member's "friend" list without a "Friend Request" being initiated by either party.  Your Facebook account will remain as private as your settings allow.)

Check out our Theme Song for the year!

This year, in order to help promote structure and a better flow for our Opening Ceremony time, we have chosen a fun song that will be sung at the beginning at every meeting to get the girls motivated and smiling and then cue them to settle into a reverent and respectful attitude to begin the Flag Ceremony.  Please help us introduce the song to the girls by letting them hear it as many times as they'd like so they'll be ready to sing along at the meetings!
